A pub has been transformed after undergoing a three-week refurbishment. 

The Lock Keeper on Mill Bank in Radcliffe has recently reopened its doors following the makeover. 

The pub, which is owned by chain Sizzling Pubs, boasts a "brighter, modern look", with a refreshed bar, new furnishings, an enhanced beer garden area which overlooks the River Irwell and a renovated play area. 

The family-friendly venue also has a Fuzzy Ed’s Fun House soft play area suitable for children aged up to 12 and under 4'10.

The play area has a baby area for children aged up to four and a section dedicated to older children, aged from five to 12. 

It is open Mondays to Sundays from 10am till 7pm with last entry for new guests at 6pm. 

Along with the new look, the Lock Keeper has introduced a new food menu featuring dishes such as the "laying it on chick burger", the tandoori chicken sizzling skillet and the "giant gyros".

General manager Andrew Owen said: “We’re thrilled to reveal the Lock Keeper’s new look to our guests.

"Whether you’re looking for a family meal out or somewhere to enjoy a pint with friends, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our brand-new look — but with the same sizzle we’ve always had.”

The pub also hosts a popular quiz and bingo every Thursday at 7pm. 

Four-legged friends are also welcome at the Lock Keeper, as the pub has a dog-friendly beer garden along with water available on request to ensure they are as comfortable as their owners. 

Children can also eat at Sizzling Pubs for £1 between 3pm and 7pm from Mondays to Fridays.
