The Bolton Mountain Rescue team went to the aid of a man in Rivington.
On Saturday in the afternoon, the team were contacted by North West Ambulance Service to help a man in the Rivington Terraced Gardens..
The team attended and helped the 44-year-old man, who was checked over by an ambulance.
A spokesman for the Bolton Mountain Rescue team said: "At 12.17 on Saturday, the team was contacted by NWAS with a request to assist with access and extrication of a male who was suffering a medical emergency in Rivington Terraced Gardens.
"Team members attended and met up with the responding ambulance crew.
"The patient was transported by vehicle to a nearby ambulance for further assessment & treatment.
"We wish the gentleman involved a full recovery."
A spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We received a 999 call at 12.03 to respond to a patient requiring medical attention.
"A man in his 40s was taken to hospital for further care."
It comes as the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team fundraise to continue helping people in trouble in areas like Rivington.
Last week, the team announced that the costs to run was over £50k a year, reliant on donations from the public.
Since then, the team have been invited to The Rotary Club of Turton and help fundraise for the MRT.
A spokesman said: "You’ve possibly seen on some of our previous posts that it costs over £50k a year to run the team and we are reliant on donations from generous members of the public or businesses.

"We are being invited to a lot of opportunities to raise money, and we now need more people to join our support group to help with fundraising!
"If you have a few hours a month to spare to help out with supermarket collections, village fairs, or a plethora of other fundraising activities, this could be the right thing for you.

The Duck Race takes place on Sunday 9 June and tickets are just £1 each.
