There is good news for five of Bolton’s eateries as they are awarded high marks in recent food hygiene inspections, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries a five out of five and three eateries a four out of five food hygiene rating.

The inspection report states the eatery is good in all areas.

Two Bolton takeaways are amongst those handed the new rating.

A Bolton drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Bytes, a pub, bar or nightclub at the rear of 45-47 Market Street, Westhoughton, Bolton was given the score after assessment on April 18, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Bolton's 355 takeaways with ratings, 141 (40 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.

Of Bolton's 192 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 78 (41 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
