Firefighters will be staging a charity car wash to raise money for a cause close to their hearts.

Crews at Bolton North Fire Station on Crompton Way will be opening its doors to the public this weekend, Saturday June 1, inviting motorists to come down to have their cars washed and families to meet the crews.

This will be in support of The Fire Fighters Charity and in return for a donation, drivers will leave with a clean car.

All money raised will go towards supporting the charity which helps firefighters who have suffered injuries.

The car wash will open at 10am and run until 4pm.

Watch Manager Alex McClurg said: “We are holding a car wash on Saturday June 1 to help raise money for the Firefighters Charity.

“This is a charity that do great work and it would be wonderful of the public to come down and support both us and them by getting their cars washed and donating what they can.”
