Work has been undertaken to repair a 'major leak' which shut a GP surgery last week.
Now ward councillor Andy Morgan hopes the surgery will open as soon as possible.
The Bolton News reported last week that Ladybridge Surgery closed on Thursday, as indicated by a social media post, and a notice on the website.
Cllr Morgan has been in touch with the landlord of the building who told him that the issue should now be resolved after work was carried out, and it's hoped the surgery can reopen this week.
The councillor had expressed concerns about elderly patients being able to access medical advice - and patients had raised issues about attending other practices in the group, which fall under the Bolton Community Practice Group.

Cllr Morgan, ward councillor for Heaton, Lostock and Chew Moor said “The landlord has contacted me and said that roofers attended to carry out repairs.
" I would hope that the practice will facilitate the opening ASAP and advise patients accordingly.”
The practice has not provided a new statement on social media or the website.
The latest statement on social media, dated May 23, still reads: "We regret to inform you that Ladybridge surgery will be closed for the foreseeable future due to a major leak that started today and has deemed the building unusable. We will keep you updated as and when we have further information
For any enquiries at all including prescription collections please ring the surgery on 01204 463444 and we will be happy to sort this for you
"We will be in touch with you regarding any appointments that have been pre-booked at the surgery asap
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Many thanks, Bolton Community Practice."
Bolton Community Practice website states: "We regret to inform you that Ladybridge surgery will be closed for the foreseeable future due to a major leak that started today and has deemed the building unusable.
For any enquiries, please ring the surgery on 01204 463444 and we will be happy to sort this for you."
The Bolton News has attempted to contact Bolton Community Practice for a response.
