Two people have been rescued following a Bolton house fire.
A fire broke out at a first floor flat on Knutshaw Crescent, located off Wigan Road, in the early hours of Saturday.
Two people – a man and a woman – had to be rescued and brought down by a ladder as they were trapped by smoke.
Fire crews from Bolton Central, Bolton North, and Atherton fire stations were in attendance, and the fire was put out quickly – within five to ten minutes.
