A charity superstore has been the latest major new shop to open at Bolton’s fastest-growing retail park.
This comes after Regenerage, previously known as Age Concern Central Lancashire, opened its new, nearly 11,000 square feet store at Middlebrook in March this year.
The new shop marks the latest in a string of seven new retailers to open at Middlebrook in the last eight months.
Regenerage director of retail Bel Fry said: “Regenerage is the largest store we have ever launched.
“I’m blown away by the quality of items coming through the doors, it’s a real testament to the generosity and kind-heartedness of local people for the range of products we can offer.
“We’re thrilled to be part of Middlebrook Retail Park.”
Regenerage has joined big names like Carrs Pasties, Five Guys, Skechers, TUI, Designer Sofas, and Claire’s Accessories that have all opened at Middlebrook over the last eight months.
Bolton’s Carrs Pasties was the first of the new wave of openings when they opened their first Middlebrook shop in July.
Five Guys followed in October, meaning that they brought the retail park’s total of food outlets up to 20.
Five Guys brand and customer director Paul Hamilton said: “We’re thrilled to have opened a new Five Guys restaurant at the Middlebrook Shopping Centre, giving us the opportunity to serve our famous burgers, fries and shakes in Bolton.
“The Middlebrook destination is a fantastic location to add to the Five Guys portfolio!”
They were soon followed by Claire’s Accessories, which welcomed its first customers in October.
Trainers company Skechers debuted during Christmas, while Designer Sofas and travel agents TUI opened at the beginning of the year.

Orbit Developments, which operates the site, says this string of new openings has helped build on Middlebrook’s appeal, which already attracts around a million visitors every month.
As well as Middlebrook, Orbit developments also owns and manages two other retail parks around Bolton.
These are Central Retail Park and Burnden Park, both within short drives of Bolton town centre.
Orbit Developments leasing surveyor Mark Hanna said: “They are all well-respected and well-liked stores and are a great addition to our already impressive range of retailers.”
