A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing incident last Friday.
This comes after a man in his 20s was injured in a suspected stabbing incident on Slade Lane, Longsight on Friday May 17.
Police announced on Sunday evening that they had arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector John Robb from our City of Manchester division said: “We have continued with our enquiries over the weekend which has led us to arresting another individual in relation to this incident.
“Additional officers will remain in the area, and I would encourage members of the public to speak to them if you have any concerns or information that could assist us with our investigation."

The boy remains in custody for questioning by police.

Officers say that a man in his 50s who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail.
DI Robb and his colleagues have continued to appeal for anyone who was in the area, has any information, or who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
They can do so by calling 101 quoting log 2992 of 17/05/2024.
