BAFTA nominated actor Maxine Peake will be back in her home town next month to celebrate the role libraries have played in her life.
The former Westhoughton High School and Canon Slade student will take centre stage in the new renovated Bolton Central Library on June 12 at 1pm.
Maxine, renowned for her captivating roles in Three Girls, Black Mirror, and Silk, will be sharing how libraries have shaped her life and work.
The visit is part of the Festival of Libraries.
A spokesman for Bolton Central Library said: "With three BAFTA Best Actress nominations under her belt and a fierce dedication to championing the arts in the North, this promises to be an fantastic event."
