A driver was arrested after police noticed he was 'unable to sit' in his car and suspected of having a range of drugs 'in a private place. 

Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s traffic unit reported making the find shortly before 11.30pm on the evening on Friday May 17.

They say that on searching his car they found a range of Class A, B and C drugs.

A GMP spokesperson said: “After seeing the driver unable to sit still whilst driving, closer inspection indicated he was struggling to conceal his stash somewhere private, but couldn't hold it all in!

"Driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A, B and C and also of being disqualified and having no vehicle insurance.

“Vehicle seized, it’s a bum rap!”

Images supplied by police show two car seats strewn with what appears to be a large amount of unknown drugs, cash and a mobile phone.

As yet no further details have been released about the suspected driver.

But this comes amid long running concerns about drug crimes and about crime on the roads.
