A Bolton News journalist has been recognised as a trailblazer and for inspiring others.

Senior Reporter at The Bolton News, Alima Nadeem, received an award at the British Muslim Awards 2024, held at the Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester.

The British Muslim Awards recognises individuals who have gone above and beyond in their respective fields and inspired others while achieving success.

Alima,  was recognised as in the Media Trailblazer category for her work with The Lancashire Telegraph, and The Bolton News.

She said: “To win an award is absolutely an honour.

“I did not expect to win, because there were so many journalists who were doing amazing work too, and they also deserve so much recognition.

“I am grateful to have even been nominated as it shows that my work is deserving of that.

“I want to thank everyone I work with, and for those who trust me to write their stories.”

The awards take place every year to celebrate talent in the Muslim community.
