We took to Facebook to ask locals and this is what they said – let’s take a look.

We recently asked our readers where the best places to get fish and chips are in Bolton.

The results highlighted a few local chippies, including New Bury Chippy on George Street and Terry's Chip Shop on Crompton Way.

New Bury Chippy was praised for its “big portions” and “gorgeous food”.

One visitor commented on our Facebook post, praising Terry's Chip Shop, saying: “Terry's chip shop Crompton way the fish is absolutely beautiful, lovely owners”.
