A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with a stabbing outside a bar in Bury.
The emergency services attended the area of Silver Street at 12.40am on Sunday.
On arrival two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Today, Tuesday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Bury revealed a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the stabbing. He remains in custody.
Superintendent Mike Walsh, of GMP Bury, said: "It is fortunate the injuries in this incident were not more serious and I am glad someone is in custody in connection with the investigation.
"However these sort of incidents cause concern and I want the community to know we will never tolerate such action within our area.
"While we have already made an arrest, work is ongoing to understand the circumstances, and we are determined to secure the right result. Violence has no place on our streets and I would urge anyone with information which will help enquiries to make a report to the police."
