Motorists have been warned of a road closure as well as overnight restrictions set to be put in place at a junction in another area of the borough next week.
Bass Lane in Ramsbottom will be shut from Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3 for telecoms works, the council has said.
A signed diversion route will be in place.

There will also be two-way traffic signals on Manchester Road and the bus stop will be closed.
And temporary road restrictions will be in place from 7pm on Monday until 6am on Tuesday for patch repairs to the junction of Bury New Road, Church Lane and Stanley Road in Whitefield.
People have been urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.
