A family has paid a heartfelt tribute to a man who died in Portugal at the age of just 37.
Neil Richard Sutcliffe, known to some friends as Bingo, died while on holiday in Portugal’s Leiria region last September.
A police investigation is underway into his death and an arrest has been made.

A statement issued by Neil’s brother, Mark Sutcliffe, on behalf of the family reads: “We are all still very upset about the loss of Neil. He was an amazing, funny, and intelligent man who had a vivid love of life.
“We're collectively still coming to terms with the death of a family member in an awful situation, and due to our loss and the current legal situation do not feel it appropriate to make any comments to the media at this moment.
“What we will say is that everything that has already been reported does show a lovely tribute of Neil. Neil occasionally worked as a freelance web developer which he did alongside his art.
“That was his passion and hobby which really highlighted the creativity that often comes from having high-functioning Autism, he really could put his mind to anything he wished to master. He had a love for life and the people in it.
“Unfortunately, being autistic meant he trusted people too easily.”
Speaking to The Bolton News, brother Mark, who lives in Little Lever, went on to praise Neil’s artwork, adding: “Some of them are breath-taking, both myself and [brother] John have decided to have one of the more light-hearted pieces done as a tattoo.”
Neil is survived by parents Derrick and Linda, and siblings John, Mark, Kate, Gabrielle, and Clare.
Posting an online tribute, Neil's mother Linda said: “Love you always and forever Neil. A part of me died with you.
“I’ll always be grateful you were ours and even though your life was tragically cut short you lived it to the full.
“Sleep easy my wonderful son xx.”

A spokesperson for Bolton School said: “Our thoughts are with his family and all those who knew him.”
A tribute in the Bolton School magazine The Bugle reads: "Unexpectedly taken from us while on holiday abroad.
"Always willing to light up a room with artwork or music, his spirit and talent will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace."
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã reports that Portugal’s Public Prosecution Service has accused a 28-year-old man of murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and desecration of a corpse.
A trial is due to take place in Portugal over Neil’s death.
