A thirty-three-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a chase around Bolton.
Officers say that the man reportedly ‘failed to stop’ for police, and they did not have a licence or insurance.
The man remains in custody whilst enquiries remain ongoing.
Police say they came across a BMW on Withins Lane, Breightmet, and attempted to stop the vehicle.
Police say it was then driven off at speed and was chased before heading down a dirt track.

“This afternoon, officers arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for a constable, and driving without a licence and insurance.
“He remains in police custody for questioning.”

And last year GMP welcomed an annual reduction in vehicle crime.
