A young student from Farnworth died after suffering heart issues.
Charlotte Roscoe, aged 26, was pronounced dead on January 25 this year.
An inquest into her death was opened on Monday, April 22 at Bolton Coroners' Court.
Police coroners officer Julie Ann Hyde told the court that Ms Roscoe had been admitted into Royal Bolton Hospital with chest pains on January 22.
However, she was discharged the following day with a diagnosis of a "chest infection".
On the morning of January 25, upon going to check on her in her bedroom, Ms Roscoe's father found her unresponsive.
Paramedics were called and confirmed the fact of her death.
Pathologist Dr Ravindra Sawant gave her cause of death as hemopericardium, caused by a ruptured aorta, caused by dissection of the aorta.
There were confirmed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding Ms Roscoe's death.
Coroner Stephen Teasdale set the date for the full inquest as August 1, and requested witness statements by June 3.
