A driver has been arrested after police say they stopped and searched his car which they suspected was used to “supply drugs.”
Officers say they were on patrol in Great Lever over the weekend when they came across the car.
They say that they had been acting on information from people in the community.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “PC Taylor, along with your Great Lever and Bolton town centre neighbourhood teams have worked jointly over the weekend to act on intelligence from the local Great Lever community.
“As part of patrols we managed to locate a vehicle that was suspected to have been used in the supply of drugs across the local area.
“A stop search was conducted under Section 23 Misuse of drugs act, with the driver subsequently being arrested for further offences.
“As part of our local priorities we will act on the information that we are given.”
