A 70-year-old woman was “left shaken” after her handbag was snatched off her in the street by an unknown suspected thief.
The woman had been walking along the footpath on Lee Lane, just off Horwich town centre earlier this month at around 11am on Saturday April 6.
Police are investigating and have now appealed for anyone with any information about the "unknown suspect" to come forward and help them.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Thankfully, the victim did not suffer any serious injuries but was understandably shaken up and had soreness to her arm.
“At this stage, no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the person within the image or witnessed anything from around the time.
“Anyone with any relevant doorbell, CCTV, or dashcam footage is additionally asked to come forward.”

As yet no further details have been released about the suspected culprit or about any other items that may have been inside the victim’s handbag at the time.
Police have appealed for anyone with any information or relevant video footage to get in touch by calling 101 quoting crime reference CRI/06KK/0009357/24.
