A woman was arrested after a series of shoplifting incidents were reported at a supermarket.
According to police, the branch of Morrisons off Brownlow Road, Halliwell was targeted three separate times over the morning of Saturday April 20.
They say that after an investigation they traced a 28-year-old woman in Bolton town centre later that same day and arrested her in connection with the thefts.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This afternoon, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team were made aware of a shoplifting which occurred at Morrisons in Halliwell.
“Officers conducted an area search and managed to locate the female in Bolton town centre.
“Enquiries established that the female entered and stole items from the store on three separate occasions this morning.
“She was arrested on suspicion of theft and was also wanted on a recall to prison.
“The female was transported to custody where she will be questioned.”

The arrest comes amid rising concerns about shoplifting and other kinds of thefts across Bolton in recent months.
