A Bolton Council boss is leaving the authority ahead of a move to another authority in the West Midlands.
Bernie Brown, the director of children's services, is leaving for Staffordshire County Council this summer.
Ms Brown has been in the role for more than six years and is to take up the same role at the authority in the West Midlands. She has been described as a "committed leader" with "impressive knowledge" at the time of an inspection last year by Ofsted.

Bolton Council looks likely to appoint a provisional director of children's services for up to 12 months before it appoints a permanent director of children's services thereafter according to a report for consideration by an appointments panel on April 22.
The report said: "Having secured the role of director of children's services at Staffordshire County Council, the director of children's services has tendered her resignation and will leave the council at the end of June 2024.
"To ensure an adequate handover period and continuity of leadership of the directorate, it is deemed appropriate to seek to appoint an interim director from within the council."
