Always a hit at the volunteer-run Eagley Jazz Club, John Hallam and the Tom Kincaid Trio make their return on Monday.
John Hallam is a virtuoso clarinettist and reeds specialist, who takes inspiration from Benny Goodman and Lester Young, among others.
A spokesperson for the club said: “These highly talented, professional musicians are a consistently popular band at our club.”
Starting in the late 60s, John performed for over 20 years with the Smoky City Jazz Band, working with some of legends of the business, including Humphrey Lyttelton and George Melly.
More recently, he and the Tom Kincaid Trio have recorded an album together, called Deep Purple.
Keyboardist Tom Kincaid has performed with many of the biggest names in jazz, including his childhood hero, rock ‘n’ roll star Shakin’ Stevens.
Also part of the trio are Frank Grime, who plays the double bass, and Gaz Hughes on the drums.
Doors open at 7pm, the band starts at 8pm and finishes at 10:30pm.
