A Bolton primary school is "springing forward with art" as their pupils' work has been showcased in the windows of a shopping centre.
Bolton Cultural Education Partnership has announced the next exhibition in its Schools’ Showcase Window at the front of the Market Place Shopping Centre on Corporation Street is by Spindle Point Primary School in Kearsley.
They have installed a display of artwork created by the pupils from the nursery class right up to year six and is curated by art co-ordinator Rebecca Mills.
Speaking about the artwork, Rebecca said: “At Spindle Point we want our children to foster a passion for art and design and to develop their individual preferences, knowledge and skills.
“They learn about a range of artists and designers across the ages, identifying and celebrating famous pieces, styles, people or eras.
“The exhibition features the pupils’ responses to artists such as Jean Miro, Yayoi Kusama and Minnie Pwerle.
“The school holds the accreditation for Arts Mark Silver and is aiming for gold accreditation.”
