A man in his 70s died after suffering a "medical episode" in the Morrisons store in Bolton on Saturday.
Emergency services were sent to the Black Horse Street supermarket at around 12.20pm to reports of a suspected medical episode.
An air ambulance helicopter, along with several ambulances and police cars, were seen in the area at the time.
The man was pronounced dead following the incident.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 12.20pm on March 30, 2024, officers were called to reports of a suspected medical episode in a business in Blackhorse Street, Bolton.
"Sadly, a man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
A Morrisons spokesperson confirmed police and paramedics were called following the incident.
An eyewitness added: “It was horrible, there were loads of police outside and two ambulances and a first response car.
“A helicopter was over the road and there were two police cars and an unmarked police car."
