A number of people from Bolton have recently appeared before the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a variety of offences including harassment, unlawful communication and driving without insurance.

Here are the people who have recently found themselves in the dock.

Kieran Ryan send a 999 call to GMP which was offensive and caused distress earlier this month.

The 35-year-old admitted sending communication of an offensive nature at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Following this Ryan, from Hackford Close, Halliwell, Bolton, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

As part of this he was ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work.

Martin Kovacs drove a Mercedes Sprinter on Longfield Road, Daubhill, without insurance and while disqualified earlier this month.

The 26-year-old admitted the two offences at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Following this Kovacs, from Longfield Road, Daubhill, was banned from driving for six months.

He was also placed on a community order to last for a year and ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work.

Ben Whittaker stalked a woman in February.

He turned up at her house on three days and displayed threatening behaviour.

The 31-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Following this Whittaker, from Hamel Street, Great Lever, was placed on a community order to last until September 2025.

He was ordered to complete the Building Better Relationships Programme and to do 100 hours of unpaid work and attend 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

A restraining order banning him from contacting the woman was imposed to last for two years.

Hakim Banguka drove an Audi on Higher Cambridge Street, Manchester in December last year without insurance.

On the same day the 26-year-old failed to provide a specimen of breath to the police.

He admitted the two offences at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Following this Banguka, from Avro Close, Lostock, Bolton was banned from driving for six months.

He was also placed on a community order to last for a year and ordered to do 180 hours of unpaid work.
