Two men and a teenager are still in police custody after two shootings in Bolton.
Officers were called to Monserrat Road, Johnson Fold, on Sunday, March 17, to reports of a shooting.
And four days later on Thursday, March 21, police were called to Mercia Street, Deane, following reports a gun had been discharged.
Detectives from Greater Manchester Police’s (GMP) critical wanted unit teamed up with Police Scotland to carry out a warrant in Tulloch in Perth.
The force said a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault and firearms offences.
A 17-year-old boy was also been arrested on breach of bail.
Today, Thursday, a GMP spokesperson said: “All three are still in custody.”
Det Supt Joseph Harrop, head of GMP's serious and organised crime unit, said: "Firearms have no place on our streets and our team are vigorous in their response to stamping out this type of crime, ensuring the public are safe and also feel safe.
“Investigations into incidents involving firearms are robust, utilising specialists resources to understand the circumstances that led to violence erupting, arrest suspects, and build case files to support prosecution.
"The arrests in relation to the two discharges in Bolton demonstrates the force's commitment to moving investigations involving firearms forward at pace - and we would like to thank our Police Scotland Colleagues for supporting us on this.”
