5 dogs at Dogs Trust Manchester looking for new homes
Bentley
Gender – Male
Age – 5 years
Breed – Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Bentley is looking for an adult only home with a private and secure garden.
He gets nervous around strangers so he’ll only be able to have minimal visitors but no young children should visit him.
Bentley needs to be separated from the front door as he can’t meet visitors at the door.
He will need to be the only pet in his new home and when he goes out on walks, he’ll need to walk in quiet areas away from people and dogs and stay on the lead and wear a muzzle.

Dogs Trust adds: “As he enjoys training, it would be good if new adopters were willing to continue this in his new home. Leaving hours would need to be minimal initially but these could be built up as he settles in.
“We would consider a home that has a similar set up to the one he is currently in which is where he has his own heated outbuilding.”
You can find out more about Bentley via the Dogs Trust website.
Storm
Gender – Male
Age – 2 years
Breed – Crossbreed
Storm is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children. His new owners will need to be comfortable helping him work through his grabbing behaviour.
He’ll also need help with housetraining and he needs a private and secure garden to play in.
Storm needs to be the only dog in the home and will need to be separated from busy daily life via a baby gate at times.
He needs to be the only dog in the home but once settled he can continue his socialisation.
Storm can’t live with cats but could live with small furry animals if they are kept separate.
You can find out more about Storm via the Dogs Trust website.
Mila
Gender – Female

Breed – Dogue De Bordeaux
Mila needs new owners who are experienced with large breed dogs and can handle her strength and size.
She can get worried around strangers so will need to be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle when out on walks.
Mila wants a quiet adult only home where she has a secure, private garden and can be separated from the front door.
She needs to be the only pet in her new home and you can find out more about her via the Dogs Trust website.

Wig is looking for a new home with a secure, private garden where she can work on her training, including housetraining, and play.
She can live with children aged 12 or over but the centre would consider lowering this depending on the application.

Hamish is described as a “social butterfly who loves meeting new people” and the centre believes he could live with children who are aged 14+ who are comfortable with big, bouncy dogs.
He needs to be the only pet in his new home but can socialise with other dogs when out on walks.
Hamish needs to have a private and secure garden and once settled, he can be left for around four hours.
