Popeyes to open drive-thru restaurant in Manchester in April

The new restaurant will open on Bury New Road and will be the brand’s 12th opening of the year and the 47th opening since the company first landed in the UK in November 2021.

The American fried chicken restaurant will give chicken fans the chance to win a Chicken Sandwich at the opening of the new venue.

When will Popeyes open its new restaurant and drive-thru in Manchester?

The new restaurant will open on Wednesday, April 24 and visitors are being urged to get down to the restaurant quickly to avoid queues as the brand’s restaurant openings have been known to be popular.

In fact, the opening of the Popeyes restaurant at Manchester Piccadilly saw queues forming from as early as 6.30pm the night before, the brand says.

The menu at the new Popeyes restaurant on Bury New Road will consist of a variety of food including the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and original Southern biscuits and gravy.

Plus, the breakfast menu will also be available with Big Breakfast Rolls, a variety of breakfast muffins, cajun hash browns and Louisiana buttermilk biscuits served with Nutella or cinnamon sugar all on offer.

The restaurant’s opening on Bury New Road brings 80 new jobs to the local area and plans include 72 seats indoors and 8 outside, a dual-ordering lane to reduce expected vehicle queues, kerbside collection from specifically designated bays when you order online via the Popeyes UK website and a car park for customers who would like to eat inside the restaurant.
