A gym raised money to support a young boxer after a fire broke out at his home.
Lucas Barton was at home with his family in Bromley Cross when the blaze broke earlier this month out causing extensive fire damage.
The 17-year-old escaped by jumping out of a window when the smoke in the house was too thick for him to see.
Many of the family's belongings have been left damaged.
Elite Thai Boxing, a gym in Halliwell which Lucas attends, have now raised £500 for the family.
The gym held a fight night where people could donate to the fundraiser for the family.
Owner and coach, Alex Matvienko said: “We hold amateur boxing shows every three months and Lucas is part of our team.
“They lost their house and with it being recent, we decided to do a collection to help him to get him started for basic needs and take some stress out.
“Straight away everyone was messaging him and checking on him as he needed a week off.
“We all said when he moved, we would help him out and so we have come in together as a community.”
Lucas, his sister Lorna, and their dad Andrew were taken to hospital for breathing difficulties but discharged later on after the fire.
Alex said: “Lucas is a really nice kid and a real team player; he pulls 110 percent.
“He’s only a young lad and used to walk from his house in Bromley Cross to Halliwell to train and that says It all.

“He always supports his teammates.
“So, when this happened, it knocked them all a bit so they wanted to show him some support, because even if he is injured, he will come in and support the team and help train the young kids.
If anyone wants to help support Lucas when they move, they can get in touch with the gym.
Alex said: “We had an amazing evening, not only watching a show which featured nine under 16-year-olds, but to watch the crowd in attendance also pull together and raise £500 to help when Lucas' family move.”
