With just a few days left until Easter, businesses and parks across the borough are getting ready to put on egg-citing activities and events this weekend.

From Easter egg hunts to feeding baby animals, Boltonians really are spoilt for choice this Easter weekend from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1.

Bolton will be home to a wide selection of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages – and The Bolton News has put together a list of some of events we have heard are taking place, so you don’t miss out.

The popular farm will be hosting its annual Easter egg hunt with rubber eggs hidden in the nearby woods which will then be exchanged for chocolate eggs.

From Friday March 29 until Monday April 1, families are invited to take part in one of the ‘biggest, best and most egg-citing egg hunts around’.

The events will include an Easter egg or an Easter teddy bear for each child participating, lots of sweets and chocolates and special prizes and gifts too.

The outdoor inflatable park is back with it being billed as the biggest bouncy castle in the country.

Taking place from Saturday March 30 to Monday April 1, there will different time slots to be booked online with prices from £2.50.

Tickets will give two and a half hours access to the bouncing park.

Characters, including Elsa and Batman, will be joining in this Easter.

Dunscar Conservative Club - Hardmans Lane, Bromley Cross, BL7 9HJ

On Easter Sunday, March 31, from 12pm to 3pm, there will be a giant Easter egg hunt at Dunscar Conservative Club.

Tickets are priced at £1 per child available behind the bar and must be purchased in advance.

The event will include an Easter egg, a medal and a colouring set.

Families across the borough are invited to take part in a fun-filled Easter egg hunt at Queens Park.

On Saturday March 30 from 4pm to 5pm, get ready to search high and low for hidden eggs with this event promising to be a delightful time for everyone, young and old.

Hollywood Road Sports and Social Club – BL1 6HP

This Easter the club will be hosting their annual children’s Easter disco and egg hunt.

From 1pm to 5pm, families are invited to take part in games, dancing, an Easter egg hunt and an Easter bonnet competition.

Tickets are priced at £5.

Farnworth Social Circle - The Club House, 166 Piggott St, Farnworth

Farnworth Social Circle will be hosting a kids Easter disco on Thursday, March 28 from 6pm to 9pm.

The event will include a live DJ, an Easter egg hunt, an Easter bonnet competition and food and drinks.

Tickets are priced at £3, and they are available from the bar at the club and New Bury post office.

Hedgehogs Woodland Adventures, Bolton Golf Club - Chorley New Road, BL6 4AJ

Hedgehogs Woodland Adventures will be hosting their Easter egg stravaganza on Saturday March 30 from 10am to 12pm.

The event will include an Easter egg hunt, make your own Easter bunny, spring wreath making, a bunny hunt, face painting, Easter bonnet making and more.

The Easter bunny will also be there and food and drink is included.

Child tickets are £15, adult tickets are £10 and a family ticket for four is £40.

The Hive, Moss Bank Park - BL1 6LU

The Hive will be hosting Happy Hoppy Easter this weekend on Saturday March 30.

Families are invited to take part in fun-filled activities including wreath making, make your own bunny ears, and an Easter egg hunt.

Tickets are £10 per child, this includes one accompanying adult. Any additional adults are charged at £3 per adult.

Heaton Park - Sheepfoot Ln, M25 0DL

The Easter Market and the Heaton Park Big Egg Hunt returns with an action-packed funfair for thrill seekers and eager gamers will also make an appearance.

Creative umbrella painting and colourful arts and crafts workshops are just some of the free fun activities available. 

On the park’s courtyard, local vendors will have on offer selections of artisan Gin, artsy print designs and handmade garden ornaments and trinkets.  

Nearby, young families can also play on the free pop-up play area or sit back and relax with refreshments from the Cafes.  

The Heaton Park Big Egg Hunt gives the chance for everyone to hop into the search for the Easter bunny while following mystery eggs hidden amongst the paved footpath trail.  

The Easter Markets will be at the Stables courtyard on Sunday, March 31 and Monday April 1 10am-3pm  

The Heaton Park Big Egg Hunt is £4.00 per person and will be on Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday, March 31 at 10am-2.30pm.  

Tickets for the funfair are £2 per person from March 23 to April 21.
