Residents have expressed shock after a shooting took place on a street in Bolton.
Police are continuing to investigate after a gun was used on Mercia Street, Deane, last week.
Emergency services were called to the spot at 9.30pm on the evening of Thursday, March 21.
Police have confirmed no arrests have been made as they continue to investigate.
Meanwhile residents on the street have expressed shock at what took place, with one saying that violence was common in the area.
Another shooting took place nearby on New Year’s Eve last year on Briercliffe Road.
Police were called to the spot at 2.30pm to reports a gun had been fired but did not find any injured person.
Residents of Mercia Street expressed shock at the latest disturbance.
One man: “I heard about it because they police were here.
“I think a lot of people are worried about it.”
Another man said: “There is a lot of talk going around, it might just be whispers.
“People are concerned by it. There was another one nearby.
“There is a lot of violence around here. There are fights to do with drugs.”
One woman stays: “I saw the police here the next morning.
“There was a small car which was damaged.
“I have heard people talking about it but people are not too worried.”

Chief Inspector Justine Topping of GMP’s Bolton District said: “I would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding while we try and establish the full circumstances.
“Extra neighbourhood patrol officers have been deployed around the local area both on foot and in cars, and if you have any concerns about this incident our officers will be happy to provide reassurance and listen to any of your queries.
“There was and is no wider threat to the public.
“A male was injured, although these are not serious injuries.
“At this moment detectives are investigating the matter; a patrol plan and extra resources are in place for the next few days whilst officers progress this.”
