Everyone's favourite bear delighted youngsters at the opening of a new nursery in Bolton

Little Gems Nursery has been opened by Clevelands Preparatory School on Chorley New Road, Heaton.

There was a ribbon cutting event.

Celebrations included the singing of "Touch the Sky" from the film Brave.

Three Year Six students, including the headboy and girl, made heartfelt speeches, reminiscing on their experiences at Clevelands and headteacher of Clevelands, Dawn Critchley, then extended a warm invitation to all attendees to join in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Chris Green MP was in attendance and performed the ceremonial honours.

Once the ribbon cutting took place families were invited to take part in Paddington themed activities from crafting marmalade sandwiches to creating postcards, packing suitcases, and rounds of hide and seek.

Mrs Critchley said: “As headteacher, I am immensely proud to witness the resounding success of our grand nursery opening.

“It's not just about inaugurating a new facility; it's about fostering a nurturing environment where every child's potential can flourish.
