Police were called to Deane this afternoon after a fight broke out this afternoon.
A number of police cars and vans were mobilised to Cannon Street at 4.30pm, near the Manchester Superstore.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the disturbance although a car was seen nearby with its back and front windows damaged.
A recovery vehicle was called to take it away.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 4.30pm today (21 March 2024), officers responded to reports of a disturbance on Cannon Street, Bolton.
"It is believed that several men were involved in an altercation.
"There have been no reports of serious injuries at this time."
Officers remained on the scene until 6pm.
One person who witnessed the events was John Robinson.
He said: “The front and back windows have been done in.
“I was there at around 5pm and saw around six police vehicles."
One witness said: "There was some sort of altercation.
"I think it was people from outside the area.
"One group came back with the car."

Police left the scene at around 6pm after the vehicle had been recovered.
One nearby resident said: "I drove past and I saw three police vans and two or three police cars.
"There were a lot of police this time but there have been upteen other times there haven't been.
"It's a very busy spot and people are always parking there where it is very narrow."
