The latest instalment of a comedy series created by and starring Bolton actress Diane Morgan is set to air at the end of the month.
Mandy will return to screens for series three which follows a hapless, jobless heroine whose daft adventures mostly end in disaster.
The series will see Mandy battle her own cost-of-living crisis working a number of short-lived, ill-thought-through and poorly-paid jobs.
The six-part series will be on BBC Two and iPlayer on March 27 at 10pm, with all episodes released to stream on the same date.
Filming took place for the BBC Studios Comedy Productions series back in October and once again Diane writes, directs and stars in the series where she is joined by faces old and new, famous and not famous.
Promoting the show, Diane said: “All the quotes used in TV press releases like this are written by Chat GPT now. This one certainly is.
“When you’re writing and directing and performing in something you can’t waste time thinking of some pointless quote just to show off.
“No one reads beyond the first words anyway; because they just repetitively say how thrilled and excited everyone is.
“No one’s reading this now, are they? Only a fool would do that.
“Come on, there must be a book you could be reading now instead of this nonsense.”
Diane, who grew up in Farnworth, attended George Tomlinson School (now Kearsley Academy) where she set her sights on a career in comedy from the age of 15.
In her early twenties, Diane studied at drama school, before working in a succession of jobs – from potato peeler to dental assistant – before embarking on her remarkable career in comedy.
She is also known for her TV character Philomena Cunk and appearances in shows such as Motherland and After Life.
