Celebrity Great British Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is returning for another series with a brand new grouping of celebrity contestants.
This year’s line-up features many famous faces including Bolton-born DJ Sara Cox but who is she?

Who is Sara Cox and when will she appear on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer?
Sara Cox is a DJ and broadcaster from Bolton and she’ll be entering the Bake Off tent with broadcaster The Reverend Richard Coles, Heartstopper star Joe Locke and The Last Leg’s Adam Hills.

Cox joined BBC Radio 1 in the 1990s and was on TV show The Girly Show in 1996, according to The Sun.
On Radio 1, she was joined by Emma Boughton as they hosted together and Cox, along with Dr Mark Hamilton, launched the Sunday Surgery Show.
In the early noughties, she began the role of Breakfast Show presenter and now you can tune into Radio 2 from 4pm on weekdays to listen along to Cox, the newspaper reports.
Over two days the celebrities will face signature, technical and showstopper challenges as they compete in a bid to be crowned Star Baker at the end of their episode.

Stand Up To Cancer UK, the joint national fundraising campaign between Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK, has raised millions of pounds to fund life-saving cancer research.
All the money raised by Stand Up To Cancer funds translational research to help take discoveries from the lab and turn them into tests and treatments to benefit patients.
