A number of people from Bolton have recently been in court.

Magistrates have dealt with a variety of offences including criminal damage, threatening behaviour, theft and motoring offences.

Wesley Trevett carried out threatening behaviour causing alarm and distress in February this year.

On the same date the 44-year-old stole a chocolate bar from Go Local Extra in Farnworth and five days later was in possession of Fentanyl.

He admitted the three offences at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Trevett, from Clive Street in the centre of Bolton, was given a sentence of four weeks suspended for a year.

He was ordered to take part in a drug rehabilitation requirement for nine months.

Dragos Hornia stole £800 of items from Sainsburys and Asda in Warrington in October last year.

Later the same month he stole £423 from Sainsburys in the same town.

The 28-year-old admitted the two thefts at Chester Magistrates Court.

Hornia, from Glen Avenue, Deane, Bolton, was given a sentence of 12 months suspended for a year.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £234.

Layton Potter used threatening behaviour to another person and damaged a window of an Esso Petrol Station in Bolton last month.

The 23-year-old admitted threatening behaviour and criminal damage at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Potter, from Park View, Radcliffe, was fined £120 for the first offence and ordered to pay compensation of £500 to Esso Petrol Station.

Mohuddin Patel failed to tell the police who the driver of a vehicle was.

The 40-year-old was asked to identify the driver of a BMW alleged to have been guilty of an offence by Greater Manchester Police in May last year.

However he failed to do so.

The case against Patel, from Belmont Road, Astley Bridge, was proved at Stockport Magistrates Court.

He was fined £660 and given six points on his licence.
