A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Halliwell.
Police were called on Monday (March 11) to reports of a man reportedly trying to gain entry into a property.
Whilst out on the beat officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team noticed a male walking down the street.
The man now remains in custody for questioning.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton North said: “Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have arrested a male on suspicion of attempted burglary.

“Police received a report on March 11 of a male trying to gain entry to a property in Halliwell.
“Enquiries were conducted, whilst officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team were out on patrol, they noticed the male walking down the street.
“The male was detained and arrested on suspicion of attempt burglary."
