Could Evelyn Wall be the youngest Bolton Wanderers fan to have attended a match?

Evelyn Wall was only 11 days old when she attended her very first Wanderers match with her parents, Alex and Alice Wall at home against Cambridge on March 2.

Alice has been a diehard Wanderers fan since she was a child herself and went to her own first game at four-years-old.

Alice said: “Honestly it was like a dream come true and it has always been my dream to take my child so it was a massive feeling, and I was overwhelmed that I could share my passion with her whether she likes it or not.

“She’s a Junior White member and has a season ticket for next year.

“We did our birth announcements in the stadium as well and took some pictures there.

“On the day loads of people were asking how old she was, and another lady said she wanted to take some pics of her at the game.”

Claire took her favourite shirts with her for the photoshoot.

Evelyn is now three weeks old, and football will play a big part in her life!

Alice said: “I was born into it.

“Mum and dad are both massive fans and dad used to go with his dad and his dad went with his dad and so on.

“I go to as many as I can and all the home ones I can.

“Football revolves around our family, and I even got my husband into being a fan 11 years ago.

“I said to him if you aren’t going to support Bolton, it won’t work.”

Alice bought Alex a half season ticket when they dated, and the couple even found their house by putting the postcode in and finding a house only a 20-minute walk away.

Alice and Alex took Evelyn to have pictures taken by photographer, Claire Riding.

Claire usually gets photos of babies in baskets and props, but the couple arrived with eight different Bolton Wanderers shirts and wanted it to be involved.

One of them was in a Bolton Wanderers hat.

Claire said: “I have not had this before as it was so specific with wanting a football-based shoot and it felt like the final piece to their puzzle and to be able to take Evelyn to a match was everything for them.”
