A man from Scotland was caught with drugs in Bolton after a police chase.
William Barnes was found with £1,700 of heroin and crack cocaine, £260 in cash and a phone which indicated he had been selling the drugs.
Bolton Magistrates Court heard he was being driven in a vehicle which drew the attention of the police in October last year.
Victoria Forrest, prosecting, said: “Police have sighted a vehicle in Bolton, he is the passenger in that vehicle.
“There was a police pursuit. The police vehicle eventually caused it to stop.
“The driver and passenger have attempted to decamp from the scene. They are then detained by the police officers and a search has been executed.
“Mr Barnes has found to be in possession of drugs wrapped up in snap bags. They were diamorphine and crack cocaine.
“They have been analysed and have a street value of £1,700.
“He was also found to be in possession of £260 in cash and also an iPhone which supports the dealing aspect.
“There are two offences of class A drugs, it is street dealing.”

At court Barnes, 24 and from Lansbury Street, Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply of both heroin and crack cocaine.
The prosecutor argued that the case should be sent to the crown court where the greater sentencing powers would be more suitable.
She said that even with credit for a guilty plea the case had a starting point of three years imprisonment.
Adam Whittaker, defending Barnes, said: “I do not disagree.
“I would ask for a presentence report.”
Chair of the bench Kathleen Butterworth sent the case to Bolton Crown Court to be sentenced and ordered a presentence report.
Barns will be sentenced next month.
