A motorist has been arrested after he was allegedly caught lane hogging on the M60.
Last night, Sunday, at 11.42pm a driver was pictured by a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) patrol car sitting in "lane three" on the motorway "for some time", the force said.
They were subsequently pulled over at the next junction by police, and the motorist of the orange SUV reportedly failed a drug test and was said to have found to be driving without insurance.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The driver was sat in lane three of the M60 for some time and didn't seem to want to overtake the police vehicle.
"It then came past and exited at the next junction where it was stopped.
"Driver positive for cannabis and no insurance, so arrested and vehicle seized."

In a post on social media, GMP Traffic described the incident as a "fatal four" - pulled over for lane hogging, was found drug driving with no insurance, and their car was seized.
It is the second time this month the force has posted about drivers taking up a single lane on the motorway, but no arrests followed for this "inconsiderate" motorist.
Once again, the driver was allegedly caught on camera by a patrol car on the M60 who claim they were driving in "lane two" 25mph under the national speed limit when the lane to the left was empty.
GMP Traffic's damning post read: "Sitting in lane two at 45mph when lane one is empty is inconsiderate and careless and an example of the poor driving that some drivers seem oblivious to.
"This driver was stopped and reported for careless driving on the M60 near Oldham."
