Teachers and pupils at a Bolton primary school celebrated World Book Day in style.
Everyone who attended the annual event on Thursday, March 7, at Clarendon Primary School in Great Lever picked a word to dress up as.
Some went for more abstract concepts, such as artistic or mischievous, while others dressed as meadows, calculators, or even a double outfit of copy and paste.
Deputy headteacher at Clarendon, Claire Coldwell, said: "Our theme at Clarendon this year was all about boosting our vocabulary. Every child had to come to school dressed as a 'word' of their choosing.

"All the staff have joined in as well - school is 'buzzing about words'."
World Book Day was created by UNESCO back in 1995 as a "worldwide celebration of books and reading".
World Book Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world including the UK and Ireland.
