We have picked three lovely scenic works with a pitstop on the way to enjoy with your mum.
Tomorrow is Mothering Sunday and the weather conditions are set to be mostly dry with light rain in the morning changing to overcast by late morning - with highs of 9°C and lows of 5°C.
And with so many beautiful places and great pubs in and around Bolton, families really are spoilt for choice.
Here are three walks with great pubs to get you on your way.
Belmont reservoir is a great place to explore.
From here you can explore the ruins of Hollinshead Hall and enjoy stunning views from the summit of Great Hill and then onto Hordern Stoops and the village of Belmont, where you can drop by The Black Dog Pub.

There is also a dessert list – which is the perfect treat after a walk and especially on Mother’s Day.
Or how about a walk at Doffcocker Lodge and the surrounding countryside before stopping at the Bob’s Smithy Inn on Chorley Old Road for a pub lunch?

The Wayoh and Entwistle reservoirs are also two beautiful areas perfect for a Sunday walk which offer fantastic scenery due to them being nestled within nature.
Why not have a long walk and soak in the fresh air and then head to the Strawberry Duck which is a remote country pub offering cask ales and quality food, sitting between both the reservoirs.
There is a large menu with something for everyone - dishes include sandwiches, pub classics, burgers and steaks as well as a large range of starters and desserts.
There is also a children’s menu so the little ones can also enjoy the great outdoors and have a lovely meal to finish off.
