An actor from Bolton is excited to see himself in a new drama starring a Hollywood-A-lister.
A Gentleman In Moscow has released a trailer on Paramount + which features stunning shots of Bolton.
Ewan McGregor was in Victoria Square to film the show as aristocrat, Alexander Rostov last year.
And the drama also features a Bolton actor in a small party with some lines.
Ashif Ashik, 37, from Great Lever acted alongside Ewan for a few scenes with some dialogue and is now looking forward to seeing if he made the cut when the show airs in April.
He said: “I will see if I can see myself and my small dialogue, hopefully I am in a few scenes.
“I am excited to see how the show turns out.
“Half the time I never know when I am even in something that’s aired because I am never home, but I really want to see the show.
“It’s not a big part but I am proud if the very small part I do have.”
Ash has even more to look forward to as he is due to film parts for new Harlan Coban series, Missing You for Netflix.
The new thriller starring Rosaline Eleazar started filming in Bolton this week and is set to come back for more filming.
Ash said: “Everything is kicking up again now since the strikes.
“I think it is steady and started to gain more momentum post-strikes after productions are raring to go.
“Unfortunately, whatever your role is, there is no work, and you end up taking on other work and before you know it, you’re back in production.”
Ash has also been filming scenes for The Lazarus Project on Sky and has been back on Coronation Street.
The Bolton actor has also wrapped up The City Is Ours, a show with gangs and crime, which has now gone into post-production.

Ash said: “It is good to see productions come to Bolton and even better when you are part of them as I can just roll out of bed and walk to set.
“It is good for viewers too because they get to see different places in Bolton because people have this perception of it and do not know what it is like.
“People will be surprised to see the town hall in A Gentleman in Moscow and will think it looks like London.”
