A Farnworth church is ‘thrilled’ to announce that it has been awarded grant funding from the Government’s Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund.
Farnworth Baptist Church has been awarded the funding, administered by The National Lottery Community Fund, which will directly support Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank and the Jeremiah Project, an initiative aimed at assisting residents with support, advice, and guidance for a better future amidst the rising cost of living.
The Jeremiah Project, spearheaded by Farnworth Baptist Church at The Well, is committed to providing crucial assistance to residents facing financial challenges exacerbated by the current economic climate.
And now with the support of the grant funding, the project will be able to enhance its efforts to empower individuals by offering practical support, guidance, and resources to navigate economic hardships and strive for a brighter tomorrow.
In addition to supporting individuals in need, Farnworth Baptist Church will also allocate resources to bolster the operations of the Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank.
This resource plays a vital role in addressing food insecurity among vulnerable populations, ensuring that individuals and families have access to nutritious meals during times of financial hardship.
A spokesperson for Farnworth Baptist Church said: “As a vital resource within the Farnworth and Kearsley community, Farnworth Baptist Church is deeply grateful for the recognition and support received through the Government’s Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund.
