A man was arrested earlier this morning in connection with a bank card that was stolen from inside a car.
Police say that the car was broken into on Gladstone Street, Halliwell, and that several items including a bank card were taken.
They say the suspected stolen card was used and that on the morning of Monday February 4 they arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with the incident.
A Greater Manchester Police said: “This morning , officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and three counts of fraud.
“This arrest is in relation to an investigation after items were stolen from a car on Gladstone Street and a bank card stolen from inside the car was used.
“He remains in police custody for questioning.”

This comes amid long running concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour all across Bolton in recent months, particularly in the Halliwell area.
Officers have dealt with cases of car theft, theft from cars, drug offences and dangerous driving at various times.
