A Bolton TV quiz star is coming back to her hometown for an all-singing show featuring stories and heaps of entertainment.

Jenny Ryan, known as "The Vixen" on ITV's The Chase and now a singing sensation, will be appearing at the Octagon Theatre for her new show, Out Of The Box.

The Octagon posted on social media platform, X, to share the news: “Boltonian born and bred, Jenny Ryan, better known as The Vixen on the hit ITV quiz The Chase, is coming to Octagon with her brand new show Out Of The Box - there'll be tunes, tales, trivia & a sprinkling of showbiz secrets.”

The show will take place on October 2 with tickets going at £29.50.

The Octagon Theatre stated online: “Jenny Ryan – better known as the dream-crushing brainbox The Vixen on the hit ITV quiz The Chase breaks away from teatime telly and invites you to an evening of song, storytelling and even some showbiz secrets.

“Join Jenny on a journey through her life and times via some of her favourite tunes, sung live with the powerful voice which blew the judges away on X Factor Celebrity.”

Jenny was recently seen on TV in an episode of The Chase where she went head-to-head with a fellow Boltonian.

Marketing executive 25-year-old Jacob took on the The Vixen in a bid to win the money to go to the US Masters.

Jenny has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Celebrity MasterChef and the final of X Factor Celebrity in 2019.

She was also awarded the degree of Doctor of Arts for her outstanding contribution to television and entertainment from the University of Bolton.

Before joining The Chase, Jenny appeared on University Challenge in 2003 and Mastermind in 2006.

But a recent new clip shows her on Only Connect in 2010, with a team called The Gamblers.

Jenny also wowed audiences when she appeared on the celebrity version of The X Factor in 2019.

On the show she sang covers of Adele, Lady Gaga and Queen songs, to name a few.
