A man and a woman have been arrested in a raid on a suspected cannabis farm.
Officers raided the farm at a building around the Deane and Daubhill areas yesterday, on Thursday February 29.
They say the man has since been bailed, while the woman is still in police custody.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Yesterday the Rumworth and Hulton Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant in their area.
“Inside the address numerous cannabis plants were found.
“An adult male has been arrested for production of cannabis and abstracting electricity and has been bailed.
“An adult female has also been arrested for production of cannabis and abstracting electricity and remains in police custody for questioning.”
An image supplied from police at the scene shows a large number of plants together with what appears to be cultivation equipment.
But as yet no further details have been released about the location of the cannabis farm or about the identities of either the man or the woman who were arrested.
