A homeless charity is appealing for donations of Easter eggs to give to children and pensioners living in poverty.
Homeless Aid UK in Bolton is a charity helping families who are struggling to make ends meet.
It is appealing to the public to drop off Easter eggs at one of the drop-off locations.
Homeless Aid's appeal says: “Our Easter Egg appeal is a mission to provide an Easter egg to children and pensioners living in poverty, and to those who are homeless across Bolton and other towns.
“We have teamed up with local organisations and we have identified many in Bolton and other area areas.“
Billa Ahmed, who runs the group, said the Easter eggs would go to everyone who uses their services to make them smile.
He said: “We do it every year. We team up and, the people we know about that come to our soup kitchens, we want to make sure they do not go without Easter eggs.
“We go round to the elderly as well.
“Some people even the basics they don’t get them so definitely won’t have had an egg in years, so it makes a massive difference for them and puts a smile on face.”
Easter is not the only time Homeless Aid provides treats, but all year round the group works to help those in need.
Billa said: “The beautiful thing is we are a very diverse group so no matter whether it’s Diwali, Christmas or Eid we will show people that we care.
“With the cost-of- living crisis, for a lot of people this is a luxury. we want to provide it for them.
“We have hundreds of people who support Homeless Aid, and it allows us to support everyone else too.
“We have Ramadan coming and people will sponsor the soup kitchen as well.
