A man has been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis farm at a property in the New Bury area.

Officers from Farnworth Neighbourhood Policing Team raided a property in New Bury yesterday, February 26.

Inside the address, officers say they found a number of rooms filled with cannabis plants.

A man who was also located inside the property has been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and abstracting electricity and he remains in police custody for questioning.

The cannabis plants have since been seized by officers and have been removed from the property.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers from Farnworth Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at a property in the New Bury area.

“Inside the address officers located a number of rooms filled with cannabis plants. An adult male who was also located inside the property has been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and abstracting electricity and he remains in police custody for questioning.

“The cannabis plants have been seized and removed from the property.”
