A pair of Boltonians went head-to-head in a hit ITV game show this week.
Marketing executive 25-year-old Jacob took on the The Vixen in The Chase in a bid to win the money to go to the US Masters.
He faced Bolton-born Jenny Ryan.
Jacob stormed through the questions to be on on track to win £6k. To find out how he did watch the show back on ITVX.
Jacob told host Bradley Walsh that he had studied politics at university and ‘fell’ into a role in digital marketing.
The contestant appeared on Monday night’s episode of The Chase on ITV X and said he was a ‘big golfer’ and talked about how he wanted to play all over the North West with Bradley claiming it was a ‘brilliant’ bucket list.
Jenny, a prolific quiz contestant, has has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Celebrity MasterChef and the final of X Factor Celebrity in 2019.
She was also awarded the degree of Doctor of Arts for her outstanding contribution to television and entertainment from the University of Bolton.
Before joining The Chase, Jenny appeared on University Challenge in 2003 and Mastermind in 2006.
But a recent new clip shows her on Only Connect in 2010, with a team called The Gamblers.
Jenny also wowed audiences when she appeared on the celebrity version of The X Factor in 2019.
On the show she sang covers of Adele, Lady Gaga and Queen songs, to name a few.

She made it to the final three of the series- but missed out on a record deal when Megan McKenna was named winner of the public vote.
Jenny’s most recent TV appearance was in Celebrity Escape to the Country, a spin-off series following the long-standing success of the original.
The show saw Jenny explore the serene landscapes and lifestyles of the Home Counties, Cheshire, the Peak District, Lancashire, Kent and Sussex.
Jenny can now be seen on ITV X weekdays from 5pm as The Chase airs.
